Three of New Orleans most intriguing transplanted string-slingers… Mahmoud Chouki moved here from Morocco a handful of years ago and is an inimitable bandleader, improviser, composer, etc. Beth Patterson is our own well-known Irish traditional and heavy-metal Bouzouki sorceress, also renowned for her solo project “Bad Beth & Beyond” and her duo “Zoo-Keys” with Josh Paxton. Sam Dickey is a California native but grew up in West Africa where he became a focused student of the “N’goni”… He is a member of “Weedie Braimah & the Hand of Time,” as well as leader of his own Bedouin-fusion band “Read the Sands”. This will be a completely unique adventure in international string-theory…
